We believe that a humane society is not a place but rather a reflection of the community in which we all should ideally live. We continually strive to provide education and public awareness to the members of our community. If you find yourself confronted with an animal related situation, and do not know where to turn, the KVHS is here to help you. On Saturday, May 31st join us for an exciting day full of activities and prizes. The 15th Annual Mutt STRUT will be held at the Youth Memorial Park in Augusta. This event is to help benefit the KVHS. The Paddle For Paws will be held on Saturday June 21st. The Money that is raised will help the animals find a good, healthy home. The Foster Porgram is aimed towards giving animals a second chance at life. Animals need the fostering because they’re not quite ready for Adoption for one reason or another. The program places pregnant, new born, injured, orphaned animals into a stress free temporary environment. To find out how to become a foster care home, visist our "Foster Program" link above.
